I distinctly remember being in nursing school clinicals at some of the best hospitals in the country, wondering to myself, “there has to be a better way to help people.” I was surrounded by unhealthy food, long medication lists, and no root-cause approach. Once I learned about functional medicine, I knew that’s what I wanted to base my career in. I have been an RN at Five Journeys since March 2021, and continue to be amazed with functional medicine and all of the ways we are able to help people. I was also someone who used to be terrified of needles- and now I can’t wait to get IVs!
