LDA Treatment
Low dose allergen immunotherapy
LDA is used to treat food allergies, food sensitivities, chemical sensitivies, and inhaled allergens (pollen, dust, mites, etc.).

How does it work?
Every 2 months, a provider will give you one injection of the treatment. It typically takes 16-18 injections before reaching immunity, however this varies from patient to patient depending on the severity.

SLIT Treatment
Sublingual (under the tongue) Immunotherapy
SLIT is used to treat grass and ragweed pollen allergens. Along with inhaled allergens (pollen, dust, mites, etc.).
What are the benefits?
- Drops customized for you
- Convenient home dosing
- Studies have shown it significantly reduces allergy symptoms
How does it work?
Patient takes drops under their tongue daily. During the first four months, the escalation phase, the dosage gradually increases. After that, the maintenance phase involves the same dose of drops each day.

No the allergy treatment is not covered by insurance.
Yes, you do! You will have to see a Five Journeys provider in order to receive allergy treatment.
Your provider will order tests to determine what you’re allergic to. Then, they’ll go from there to see if you’re a good candidate for the treatment(s).
