Cara Ufer, BSN, RN - Wellness Nurse in Newton

My name is Cara Ufer, BSN, RN, and I am a Registered Nurse at Five Journeys, where I work in the Wellness Suite specializing in IV therapy, blood work, and a range of treatments designed to support overall health and well-being. I am passionate about helping patients feel their best through personalized, holistic approaches to care.

I have been a nurse for three and a half years. I earned my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Colorado Mesa University and then moved to Austin, Texas to begin my nursing career. There, I gained valuable clinical experience in both Orthopedic/Trauma and Labor and Delivery, developing strong clinical skills while caring for patients during important—and often life-changing—moments.

I relocated to the Boston area in fall of ’25 and joined the team at Five Journeys in Newton. Through my diverse nursing experiences, I discovered a strong passion for functional medicine and wellness-focused care. I believe that proactively supporting the body through evidence-informed therapies empowers individuals to achieve long-term health and vitality.

Today, I am grateful for the opportunity to help patients optimize their health through innovative wellness therapies while providing compassionate, patient-centered care.
