Hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) involves exposing the patient to pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber, which promotes healing and enhances the body’s natural ability to repair and regenerate tissues!
Boost your immune system, reduce inflammation, increase athletic performance, fight infections, and more!
Increased Oxygen Pressure: HBOT involves breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber, typically 1.5 to 3 times the normal atmospheric pressure. This allows a significantly higher concentration of oxygen to dissolve into the bloodstream.
Enhanced Oxygen Delivery: The increased oxygen level enables oxygen to reach deeper into tissues, including areas with limited blood flow or damage. This is particularly helpful for healing wounds, reducing inflammation, and promoting cellular repair.
Promotes Healing & Recovery: Oxygen saturation supports the production of growth factors and stem cells, aiding in tissue regeneration and accelerating recovery in a variety of conditions, such as non-healing wounds, traumatic brain injuries, and infections.
Reduces Inflammation: The therapy decreases oxidative stress and inflammation, which can alleviate symptoms for chronic conditions, enhance immune function, and improve overall tissue health.
Boosts Immune Function: The increased oxygen levels can inhibit certain types of bacteria, enhancing the body’s ability to fight infections and improving immune response.
I received my Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Vermont alongside studies in Integrative Health Care. I am also a National Board Certified Integrative Health & Wellness Coach, a certified Menstrual Cycle Coach & Educator, and a Yoga Instructor. I began my nursing career at Massachusetts General Hospital working inpatient in Oncology and Hematology, however, I have always known that functional medicine is where I truly want to be! I love helping individuals navigate their unique health journeys with personalized support and education.
